Women Killed In Crash In Stirlingshire

An 18-year-old woman has been killed in a road collision in Stirlingshire, Central Scotland Police have confirmed.

The collision happened around 7am on Friday on the A81 near Dumgoyne Distillery.

The woman's southbound car was in collision with a van travelling in the opposite direction.

Police said that further details would be released when the women's next of kin were informed.

The road remains closed for an investigation to be conducted.

Up To Four Suffer 'Life-Changing' Injuries In Troop Carrier Collision
More than 20 people have been injured, 4 or 5 seriously, in a collision involving three troop carriers on Salisbury Plain. Wiltshire Police were called to the accident at about 18:30 on Wednesday. The cause of the accident is being investigated but it is understood that 4 or 5 people have suffered "life-changing injuries".

Woman Arrested In Connection With Daughters Death In Road Accident
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a road accident which killed her two-year-old daughter. Police have said that the woman was driving a car which left the road and hit a tree on Gibbins Road, Selly Oak, at about 16:00 on Thursday.

Body Found In Search For Missing Woman
A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.
