Shots Fired At Police Car In Birmingham
Police in Birmingham have appealed for witnesses after shots were fired at a police vehicle in Birmingham.
The incident happened around midnight on Sunday at the junction of College Road and Cornwall Road.
A marked police car had followed a Vauxhall Astra from the Lozells area after it failed to stop. In Somerset Road, the Astra was involved in a collision and the four occupants then got out of the vehicle. Shots were then fired at the police car before they ran off.
No officers were injured in the incident and no damage was caused to the police car.
A 19-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards and is currently helping police with their inquiries, West Midlands Police confirmed.
The incident is now being investigated and the car and the scene are being forensically examined.

Two 14-Year-Old Boys Charged With Manslaughter
Two 14-year-old boys have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 41-year-old father-of-two in Leicester. Ponnuthurai Nimalaraja, known as Nimal, was assaulted at the junction of Gypsy Lane and Northfield Road shortly after 23:00 on 9 June. Mr Nimalaraja died in hospital on 16 June, one week after being attacked.

MoJ Reveal Drone Used In Prison Smuggle Attempt
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has revealed that a drone was used to try and smuggle a package into the grounds of HMP Bedford. An MoJ spokesperson said that the aircraft was "quickly intercepted by vigilant staff" on 06 March.

Warning Issued Over Child Abduction
Police in Birmingham have issued a warning after a child was abducted in the city. The 12-year-old girl was abducted by a motorist on Monday, but managed to escape unharmed. The incident came one day after the attempted abduction of another girl.

Teenager shot in drive-by shooting
A 16-year-old boy has been injured in a drive-by shooting in Manchester. The incident happened around 2:30am on Friday in the Moss Side area of the city. It is believed that the teenager had been on Hartington Road when a number of shots were fired at him from a passing dark-coloured car.
