Convicted Paedophile Found After Seven Years
A convicted paedophile has been found and arrested after seven years on the run.
john Murrell, 39, disppeared in September 2000 after failing to register with police after being released from prison.
Murrell, who was last heard of in Worchester, disappeared after serving a jail sentence for indecently assaulting a child.
He was found with his wife and three children by police officers on Friday.
He is currently being held in custody in Ireland and faces extradition to the UK.
Detective Superintendent Martin Lakeman, head of the force's Public Protection Unit, said: "The arrest of Murrell sends a clear message that there is no hiding place for anyone who breaches their notification requirements."

Body Of Convicted Killer Found
The body of a convicted killer who escaped from an open prison has been found in his car in Derbyshire. Martyn Hughes, 50, from Norfolk, was serving three life sentences for the murder of his two stepchildren and the manslaughter of his wife. He failed to return to Sudbury Open Prison on Sunday after being granted temporary leave.

Police Investigating If Woman Was Trying To Save Dog When She Was Hit By Train
British Transport Police investigating the death of a woman have said that she may have been trying to save a dog when she was hit by a train. The 22-year-old woman was struck by a train close to Ainsdale station near Southport, Merseyside at about 15:00 on Wednesday. Transport police said a dog was also found dead at the scene.

An investigation into two people missing from a ferry has led to the arrest of 11 people in the Netherlands. The Stena Britannica, sailing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, reported on Thursday morning that two passengers were missing, and were thought to have jumped overboard.

Five Arrested After Body Found In North London
Five people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman's body in Enfield, north London. Police responded to reports of an unresponsive female at a flat in Gainsborough House, Ayley Croft, shortly after 21:00 on Thursday, 17 September. Officers and London Ambulance Service found the body of a 25-year-old woman inside the flat.

A 29-year-old woman has been arrested following the discovery of a cannabis farm inside her home in Bridgwater in Somerset. Forty six cannabis plants and a quantity of dried leaves and seeds were found in two rooms of the house on Monday 15 June.
