Diana Jury Told Of 'Bump' With Second Car
Witnesses have told the inquest into the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed that the couple's car may have 'bumped' another vehicle shortly before the fatal crash.
Speaking via video-link from Paris, Jean-Claude Catheline and his wife Annick told the inquest at the High Court that they saw two cars enter the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in the French capital side-by-side.
Both cars were travelling quickly and that they heard the sound of a collision as they walked under the underpass entrance on August 31, 1997. Moments later, they said that they heard the screech of tyres.
The couple had been returning to their car from the Eiffel Tower at the time the crash occurred and were accompanied by their daughter Marie-Agnes and her boyfriend - now husband - David Le Ny.
Mr Le Ny also said that he saw a large dark car speeding towards them in the tunnel and said that it was going "very fast".

Princess Diana had contraceptive pills among her belongings in the weeks before she died, an inquest has heard. Deborah Gribble, who was working as a stewardess on the Al Fayed family's yacht, said that she had spotted the pills while undertaking housekeeping duties during a cruise, which the couple took shortly before they died.

Canoe Man 'Cried And Begged' To Come Home
The wife of 'back-from-the-dead' canoeist John Darwin has told Teesside Crown Court that he had cried and begged her to let him come home after staging his own death. Anne Darwin, 56, faces six charges of deception and nine charges of money laundering linked to insurance payments, in connection with her husband's disappearance.

'Significant Finds' In Jersey Care Home Cellar
Police investigating the discovery of a child's remains in a former care home in Jersey have said that they have made "a couple of finds of some significance" as the search continues. The discovery was made during searches of underground rooms in a cellar at the Haut de la Garenne youth hostel.

Abigail’s attacker held knife to son’s throat
The man who stabbed young mother Abigail Witchalls in the neck first held a knife to the throat of her 21-month-old son Joseph, police said. Mrs Witchalls, who is still in St Georges Hospital in south London, following the attack in Little Bookham, Surrey, last Wednesday, gave her statement to the police yesterday.
