Post Early For Christmas
With Christmas drawing closer, Royal Mail is reminding customers that it's time to make sure festive greetings and gifts are winging their way to friends and family across the globe in good time.
This year's last recommended posting dates for international items are: Thursday, 13 December: Western Europe; Monday, 10 December: USA, Canada, Japan and Eastern Europe; Friday, 7 December: Rest of the World (including Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Far East).
Royal Mail is also reminding customers that international postal regulations require that customers sending packets and parcels overseas must write their name and address on the front of the item.
Customers sending items to countries outside the EU must also ensure they have completed, signed, and attached a CN22 or CN23 customs clearance form.
Without this items will be turned back at the borders and returned to the UK.

Scottish Sales 'Outpace UK Sales' In July
The latest SRC-KPMG Scottish Retail Sales Monitor has revealed that Scottish sales outpaced its UK counterpart for the month of July. It is thought Andy Murray's triumph at Wimbledon, as well as the sustained period of hot weather combined to give Scotland's high streets their best performance for two years.

Mortgage Customers To Be Compensated For Banks Error
Thousands of mortgage customers of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank are to be compensated following a ruling that they were treated unfairly. It is understood that the bank miscalculated some 22,000 customers' variable rate home loans, with the customers subsequently paying too little over a four-year period.
