Britain Braced For More Floods
Heavy rain is continuing to sweep across parts of England and Wales, bringing risk of flooding in some parts.
More than 60 flood warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency.
Flood warnings have been put in place along the River Severn between Worcester and Tewkesbury and from Tewkesbury to upstream Gloucester.
The flood warnings have remained in place since Friday, when roads and railways were brought to a standstill by flash flooding.
Highway teams from Gloucestershire County Council have been clearing debris from roads and inspecting the conditions of the region's highways.
Severe gales have been forecast for much of west and southeast England, with flash floods also predicted in some areas of both England and Wales.
The Environment Agency is warning that the next 48 hours will be "crucial" across parts of England and Wales affected by the severe weather.
As much as 40mm of rain is predicted in some areas, with gale-force winds of up to 70mph also expected on the south coast.
Last July, many householders were affected by severe flooding in western England and the Midlands, following the worst flooding in the area since 1947.
The floods affected more than 4,000 and 500 businesses across Gloucestershire.

The wintry weather will continue over the next few days as Atlantic weather systems stall as they move across the UK, bringing the mix of rain, sleet and snow. As expected, freezing rain and ice brought treacherous conditions across northern Britain on Thursday, and many parts of England and east Wales could will see snow today Friday.

55 New Free Schools Announced
Fifty-five new free schools are opening this autumn. This will triple the number in place across England, according to Education Secretary Michael Gove. A total of 24 free schools already exist. Mr Gove said: "Every child should have the choice to go to an excellent local school.

Commuters are to face further disruption as Britain's 'Big freeze' continues to spread chaos across the country. Forecasters have warned northern England, Scotland and Wales could be battered with the worst of the wintry conditions, which yesterday affected bus, train and air travel and saw hundreds of schools closed.

Delays For Commuters After Service Suspension
Thousands of commuters faced long delays today after services at London's Liverpool Street station were suspended after an accident yesterday. Reports say that debris or falling scaffolding dropped onto the tracks last night at around 7.15pm.
