Greenpeace Protestors Arrested For Heathrow Plane Banner
Four Greenpeace activists breached security at Heathrow Airport and climbed on top of a Boeing 777 jet on Monday.
It is understood that the incident happened shortly after the plane, which had flown from Manchester, landed at Terminal 1 around 9.45am on Monday.
The campaigners unfurled a banner protesting against climate change saying 'Climate Emergency - No Third Runaway'.
They are believed to have waited until all the passengers had disembarked from the flight, before walking across the tarmac and climbing stairs onto the fuselage.
The protestors were arrested and taken to Heathrow police station around 11am.
BAA said that airport operations were unaffected by the protest, but described it as "unlawful and irresponsible". The airport operator also confirmed that a full investigation would be carried out.
The protest comes two days before the government's consultation into the Heathrow expansion plans ends.

Cheetah Seized At Heathrow Airport
A cheetah has been seized at London’s Heathrow Airport by officials who were suspicious about the animal’s missing microchip. The African cheetah called Isaac was on his way from a South African safari park to Russia when he was stopped. He is being kept in the UK until it is known why his microchip was missing, the UK Border Agency said.

Airlines forced to cancel flights following terror alert
BAA has ordered airlines to cancel 20% of their flights from Heathrow airport on Monday, amid continuing congestion at the airport following last week's terror alert. British Airways has cancelled 12 European return flights departing from Terminal 4 and 27 European and domestic return flights from Terminal 1.
