Woman's Head Found On Beach
Two children have found a woman's head while playing at a beach in Scotland.
The young sisters made the gruesome discovery on the beach on the coast of Arbroath, Angus, Tayside. The head was inside a plastic bag.
They ran home to tell their mother, who phoned the police at about 10.30am.
Officers, who have sectioned off the area, have since found a human hand.
A spokeswoman for the Tayside Police said the force would attempt to identify the woman.
She said: "Scenes of crime officers are in attendance and an extensive search of the beachfront is continuing at this time.
"The items are being removed and will be subject to further detailed forensic examination."
A Holmes (Homes Office Large and Major Crime Enquiry System) Team has been set up to aid with the investigation.
Officers will be contacting other forces about current missing persons.

The head of Lithuanian woman Jolanta Bledaite, 35, was found by two young sisters, wrapped in a plastic bag on the beach in Arbroath in Angus. Police discovered her hands along the shoreline later the same day.

Human Remains Found On Beach
Human remains have been found washed up on a beach in Southampton. The discovery was made around 8.25am on Sunday by a dog walker. Part of the foreshore at Weston, Southampton was sealed off as a result. In a statement, Hampshire Constabulary said it is not yet known if the remains are male or female.

Woman Identified In Beach Body Parts Case
Police investigating the discovery of a severed head and hands on a beach in Arbroath in Angus have identified the dead woman. The 36-year-old woman is believed to be a migrant worker from Eastern Europe who had been living in Brechin. It is understood that she was reported missing by her employers.

Four Arrested Over Denton Fight Death
Four people, including a 15-year-old male, have been charged with the murder of a man in Denton, Greater Manchester. Police responded to reports of a fight between a group of men on Manchester Road at about 3am on Sunday 07 June. When they arrived officers found a number of men fighting. Two men had suffered serious injuries.

Police Appeal For Help Identifying Man Found Dead In Kayak
Police on the Isle of Wight are trying to identify a man found dead in a kayak earlier this month. The man's body was found at Yaverland Beach, Sandown, at about 19:20 on Friday, 11 September. It is understood that he was last seen alive in Newhaven, Sussex.
