Police Hunt Men For Greenwich Rape

Police are hunting two men in connection with a rape in Greenwich.

The rape took place on 2 March at a flat in Plumstead after two men invited a woman back to their flat where the attack happened.

Details of the suspects have been released in a bid to track them down. The first suspect is in his mid twenties, of slim build and with short hair. The second man is approximately 6ft tall, in his early 30's and of athletic build. He has a long scar on the left hand side of his chest.

Police believe the second suspect is Samuel Osifo and that he worked in the Plumstead area and attended a local church.

The detective leading the enquiry of Greenwich CID, said: "The two men took advantage of the woman they befriended and abused her trust, subjecting her to a horrific ordeal."

Police are urging people to come forward with information and call Greenwich Sapphire Unit on 020 8284 9818.

Appeal Following Armed Robbery In Canning Town
Detectives from Trident are continuing to appeal for information following an attempted armed robbery in Canning Town during which a shot was fired. Two men from Canning Town were arrested in connection with the incident and bailed to return to an east London police station on Wednesday 16 March pending further enquires.

Police release images of rape suspects
Police investigating a series of rapes in Northampton have released artists’ impressions of five men that they wish to talk in connection with the attacks. The men are believed to be responsible for a number of attacks on women in the Northampton are between August 1 and 8.
