Glastonbury Line-Up Revealed

Raincoats and wellies at the ready, the Glastonbury line-up has been revealed.

This year The Kings of Leon, The Raconteurs and veteran pop rock band Crowded House will rock the venue that holds over 150,000 revellers.

Rapper Jay-Z - who has reputedly married his singer girlfriend Beyonce - and The Gossip will also be performing - providing a little something to cater for all musical tastes.

The list was leaked on the internet festivals forum eFestivals yesterday.

Festival organiser Emily Eavis said that some of the information that has been released is wrong.

She said: "I think it came from the printers at Q, who actually had it first. I'm not sure NME can claim a world exclusive.

"I'm not really angry, it is normal for bits and bobs to come out.

"These days you can't really control it anymore."

Other acts listed on the Pyramid stage are Shakin Stevens, Kate Nash, Editors and The Feeling. Other popular acts will be Panic at the Disco, The Enemy, Vampire Weekend, Massive Attack and We Are Scientists.

Appearing on the John Peel stage are Reverend and the Makers, Biffy Clyro, The Young Knives and Jamie T among others.

Organisers have not confirmed or denied that troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse will be performing.

Winehouse, who was questioned by police last week over an alleged assault on two men in Camden, has made previous appearances at the event.

The green-field and performing arts festival started in 1970 influenced by hippie ethics. The festival takes place in south west England at Worthy Farm.

Last year capacity increased to 177,000 people.
