Police Release Car Image In Bath Murder Investigation

Detectives in Bath has released an image of a car which may be connected to the murder of a 22-year-old man.

Ben Foster was found in Ringswell Gardens, Bath on Sunday evening with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he died of a stab wound to the body.

Three women including a 46-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting murder as well as two men - have now been released on bail.

Officers also arrested a 28-year-old man from the Sutton area of London on suspicion of murder today and he remains in custody.

A 21-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder, also remains in police custody after officers successfully applied to Bath Magistrates to get more time to question him.

Police have checked CCTV footage of Bath city centre as part of the murder investigation.

Officers have identified a red Peugeot 106 which was travelling along Cleveland Bridge on Sunday.

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Carter said: "This image could prove to be vital in our investigation. It clearly shows the importance of having Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology in Bath.

"We want to speak to anyone who knows who could be associated to the Peugeot 106 and more importantly anyone who saw it driving around the city on Sunday evening."

More than 40 officers are working on the murder investigation based at an incident room set up at Radstock Police Station.

Bath Murder Enquiry Launched
Police have launched a murder enquiry into the death of a 22-year-old man in Bath. The man was found in Ringswell Gardens on Sunday around 6.15pm with serious injuries. Officers have cordoned off the area to carry out a forensic examination of the crime scene.

Man Arrested Over Melanie Hall Murder
Police investigating the murder of Melanie Hall have arrested a 39-year-old man. Melanie, 25, from Wiltshire, disappeared in 1996 after a night out at Cadillac's nightclub in Bath. Her remains were found on a slip road near Junction 14 of the M5 in South Gloucestershire last October.

Bodies Found In Derbyshire House
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of two bodies in a house in Derbyshire. The bodies of a man and a woman were found in the house in Moore Street in Normanton on Tuesday afternoon. Police said that a friend of someone living there had found the bodies.
