Man Stabbed In 'Racist Attack'
A 24-year-old man has been stabbed in Liverpool in what police have described as a racially motivated attack.
The victim, a shopkeeper from the Toxteth area, was attacked by up to six men in Park Road, Toxteth, at around 8.30pm on Tuesday night.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said the man is currently in hospital following the attack. He was treated for a number of injuries, including a stab wound to the stomach, and his condition is described as "stable".
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody

Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Convicted Police Murderer Dale Cregan Moves To Secure Hospital
The man jailed for the murder of two police officers has been moved from Strangeways prison in Manchester to the maximum-security Ashworth Hospital. 30-year-old Dale Cregan was given a whole-life sentence for the murders of PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes as well as father and son David and Mark Short.

Police Watchdog To Question G20 Officer
A police watchdog is to interview the officer thought to be shown on video pushing a man at the G20 summit protests, who later died. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) confirmed the officer identified himself to investigators on Wednesday. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said no officers had been suspended.
