Two Guilty Of Hells Angel Murder

Two men have been found guilty of the murder of a Hells Angel as he road home from a Warwickshire biker festival. Gerry Tobin, 35, of south-east London was shot on the M40 in August 2007. He had been returning from the Bulldog Bash biker festival held near Long Marston, south Warwickshire. Simon Turner, 41, and Dane Garside, 42 - members of rival biker gang The Outlaws – both denied murder and firearms charges. Sean Creighton, 44, of Coventry, had already admitted murder, however, verdicts on four other men accused of Mr Tobin’s murder, had not been delivered. Karl Garside, 45, Malcolm Bull, 53, Dean Taylor, 47, and 46-year-old Ian Cameron have all pleaded not guilty.

Teenager Charged With Murder

A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a man’s body in Aberdeen. The dead man was discovered after officers from Grampian Police were called to a flat on Jute street on Saturday evening. The man, believed to be aged in his late 40s, has not yet been formally identified. Police said a 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder and is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court later.

Pedestrian Dies Following Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian died following a collision with a vehicle. The accident occurred when an 80-year-old man was attempting to cross Alfreton Road, near to the junction of Chadwick Road, Forest Fields, Nottingham, at around 9.42am Monday November 17, 2008. As the man crossed from the eastern side and entered lane two, of the four-lane road, he collided with a white Rover 115 car. Following the accident the pensioner was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, with multiple injuries. He died three days later.

Man Arrested After Air-Rifle Shooting

Armed police were called to an address in a Dorset town after a man with an air rifle was reportedly firing shots. Police arrived at Meadow View Road, Weymouth, around midnight after a woman reported a man in distress. Upon arriving at the property, officers were shot at by the man. Police could not confirm how many shots were fired, but there were no injuries. A 30-year-old from Weymouth has been arrested in connection with the shooting and is in custody.

Man Treated After Cliff Plunge

A man has been treated in hospital for chest pains after the car he was driving crashed through a fence and over a cliff in Dorset. The vehicle overturned and landed on top of a beach hut at Westover cliff in Bournemouth on Saturday. The driver was taken to Poole Hospital and he was treated for chest pains. A hydraulic crane was used to recover the car – registered to a woman in Bournemouth. The beach hut was also destroyed.

Plans Submitted For New Supermarket In Kelso

Sainsbury's supermarket has submitted plans for a new store in the Scottish Borders. The full planning application is for a 30,000 sq ft store at Pinnaclehill in Kelso. The Scottish Borders Council backed outline plans for the supermarket in May. The council turned down rival plans for a Tesco store near Spylaw farm and a proposal by Deanway Development for a site at Station Road.

Bypass Team Celebrate Top Environmental Award

The team that built the A595 High and Low Newton bypass in Cumbria is celebrating after winning a top environmental award. They have been awarded an excellent rating in the Institution of Civil Engineering's Environmental Quality Assessment (Ceequal). The tip top partnership is made up of the Highways Agency; Jacobs, the Agency's on-site representatives; Laing O'Rourke who built the road on behalf of the Agency; Pell Frischmann, the contractor's designer and Golder Associates, the environmental consultants. Ceequal adopts a tough marking system that examines environmental standards and engagement with the local community.

Suspected London bomber to be returned to UK
A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.

Man Arrested Over McKenna Killing
A 46-year-old man is being questioned by police in relation to an attack which left a man dead and his son seriously injured. Graham McKenna, 45, and his 14-year-old son Michael were stabbed on Upton Road in Claughton, Wirral, Merseyside.

Double Murder Suspect Arrested
Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.

Man Charged With Murder Of Homeless Man
A man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man who died after an attack at a bus stop in the West-Midlands last month. The 35-year-old from Smethwick was charged and remanded in custody on Sunday, to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
