Three Men Due In Court Over Schoolgirl's Disappearance

Three men are due to appear in court charged with the disappearance of a schoolgirl in 1999.

The men are charged with the disappearance of Tulay Goren, 15, who vanished from her home in Woodford Green, east London. She was reported missing by family and friends on January 22, 1999.

Three men and a woman were arrested in connection with Tulay's disappearance in the same year, while a fourth man was interviewed under caution. However, no-one was charged.

Mehmet Gore, 48, of Navestock Crescent, Woodford Green, is charged with murder, while Cuma Goren, 41, of Evesham Avenue, Walthamstow and Ali Goren, 55, of Brettenham Road, Walthamstow, are accused of conspiracy to murder.

Police have not confirmed if the accused are relatives of Tulay's.

The men are due to appear before Redbridge Magistrates' Court today.

Arrests Made Over Fatal Stabbing
Three men have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenager in east London earlier this year. Godwin Lawson, a 17-year-old footballer from Enfield, north London, died after he was stabbed in Stamford Hill on 27 March. Two other men, aged 18 and 20, were also stabbed during the incident.

Two Men In Court After Teenager Dies In Collision
A further two men have appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court in connection with a collision where a teenager tragically lost her life. Lucy Commins, 16, was a passenger in a Mercedes CLK that collided with a Volkswagon Golf at the junction of Hinckley Road and Woodway Lane at around 11.25pm on Saturday 22 February. Lucy died at the scene.

Teen Remanded Over Rhys Jones' Murder
A teenage boy has appeared in court today, charged with the murder of Merseyside schoolboy Rhys Jones. The 17-year-old appeared before Liverpool Magistrates Court charged with the fatal shooting of eleven-year-old Rhys in Croxteth, Liverpool, last August.

Police continue to question terror suspects
Police are continuing to question four terror suspects arrested in London as part of an investigation into alleged international terrorism. Three men - two aged 29 and one aged 21 - were arrested on Monday night in Hackney, east London, while the fourth man - who is aged 28 - was arrested on Tuesday in south-east London.

Two Men Arrested In Connection With Nicola Payne Disappearance
Two men have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Nicola Payne in Coventry 21 years ago. Police have now been given more time to question the two men as part of the renewed investigation. Nicola Payne was 18 when she went missing from the Wood End area in December 1991. She had a six-month-old son.
