Inquiry Launched After Son Finds Parents Stabbed To Death

Police have launched an investigation after a young man found his parents stabbed to death at their home in southwest London.

It is understood that the man, believed to be in his late teens or early twenties, arrived at the flat in Wandsworth Road, Lambeth, and discovered the bodies of his parents inside.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the bodies of a 53-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman had been found suffering from stab wounds at the property and were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The spokesperson said that the victims would be formally identified once all next-of-kin had been informed.

Post mortem examinations are due to take place later today.

No-one has been arrested and police are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Lawrence from the Metropolitan Police's Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "If you heard or saw anything suspicious in the vicinity, please get in touch with us, or call Crimstoppers anonymously."

Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Regardless of previous qualifications and experience, police recruits currently receive 25 weeks of training, earning £23,000 during their first two years.
