Tobin Found Guilty Of Schoolgirl Murder
Peter Tobin has been convicted of the murder of schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton who disappeared more than 17 years ago.
Tobin, 62, was found guilty at the High Court in Dundee of abducting, sexually abusing and killing the 15-year-old, before cutting up her body and burying it in his garden.
The teenage girl's remains were discovered in bin bags in Tobin's former home in Margate, Kent in November last year.
A jury found the 62-year-old guilty of murdering Vicky, from Redding near Falkirk, following a month-long trial in Dundee.
During the trial the court heard Tobin had taken Vicky to the home in Bathgate's Robertson Avenue, and there he drugged, raped and murdered the 15-year-old before bisecting her body.
Tobin is already serving a life sentence for the rape and murder of Polish student Angelika Kluk, and hiding her body in a Glasgow church in 2005.

The man accused of the murder of teenager Vicky Hamilton has been attacked in prison by an inmate. Peter Tobin, 61, who is being held at Saughton jail in Edinburgh, was due in court on Thursday to face charges relating to the murder of the 15-year-old Scottish schoolgirl.

Human remains discovered at a house in Kent are those of missing Scottish teenager Vicky Hamilton, it has been confirmed. Lothian and Borders Police confirmed that the body was that of the 15-year-old who disappeared from Bathgate in February 1991.

Tobin Murder Trial Halted Due To Illness
The trial of the man accused of murdering an 18-year-old teenage girl has been halted after a judge found he was not fit to stand trial. The judge, sitting at Chelmsford Crown Court discharged the jury, saying that Peter Tobin, who is 62, was ill and needed surgery.
