Ashley Cole 'Arrested For Being Drunk And Disorderly'

Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole has been arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly, according to reports.

A 28-year-old was held in Brompton Road, South Kensington, at around 2.15am on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly, police have confirmed.

According to sources the husband of Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, was taken to a central London police station and issued with a fixed penalty notice of £80 after allegedly refusing to tone down his language.

He was leaving the Collection nightclub in Brompton Road, South Kensington.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We can confirm a 28-year-old man was arrested at approximately 2.15am in Brompton Road on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.

"He was taken to a central London police station where he was issued with a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly and released shortly after 5.30am."

No further action will be taken, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
