Man In Court Over 'Gycopter Murder'

A man is to appear in court today charged with the murder of a hunt supporter who was killed when he was struck by a light aircraft.

Trevor Morse, 48, from Alderminster, Warwickshire, died after being struck by the gyrocopter at Long Marsden airfield near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, as he followed a hunt.

The suspect will appear before magistrates in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, accused of killing Mr Morse.

A second man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was released on police bail last night pending further inquiries.

The two men were arrested at the airfield at the time of the incident, at around 3pm on Monday.

A post mortem examination carried out at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire revealed Mr Morse died from severe head injuries.

In a statement police said: "Two men were arrested at the scene and have been in custody at Leamington Spa police station.

"One man has tonight been charged with murder.

"The second man has been released on police bail pending further inquiries."

Three Men Arrested Over Biker Murder
Three more men have been arrested in connection with the murder of biker Gerry Tobin on the M40 in August. Warwickshire Police confirmed that a 44-year-old man was arrested at his home in Aldermans Green in Coventry, while a 45-year-old man was arrested at his home on a narrow boat moored on the Coventry Canal near to Aldermans Green in Coventry.

Double Murder Suspect Arrested
Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.

Suspected London bomber to be returned to UK
A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Faversham at the weekend. Kent Police confirmed Lincoln Payne, of no fixed abode, had been charged with robbery, theft and two counts of attempted murder following an incident in Fostall Avenue on Saturday, 30 May.

Double Murder Investigation Underway After Bodies Found In Garden
The discovery of human remains at a house in Nottinghamshire has become a double murder investigation, police have said. Police were speaking on Monday about the discovery on October 10 of the remains of two bodies in the garden of a house in Blenheim Close, Forest Town, Nottinghamshire. Police say they were led to the property by a tip.
