Woman Admits Stabbing Sons To Death

A 21-year-old woman has admitted killing her two young children.

Jael Mullings pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, in relation to the deaths of Romario, aged two, and three-month old Delayno.

Police officers discovered the boys' bodies at a property in Kilmington Drive, Cheetham Hill, Manchester on 12 November.

Post mortem examinations showed both died as a result of a single stab wound to the chest.

She was sectioned under the Mental Health Act following their deaths last year.

After the boys' deaths, it emerged officers had visited the house just hours before their bodies were discovered.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is conducting an investigation.

Mullings, who made a brief appearance at Manchester Crown Court, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on April 28.
