Man Arrested Over Mother And Daughter Body Find
A man has been arrested in connection with the deaths of a 10-year-old girl and her mother.
Diane Fallon, 43, and Holly disappeared from their home in Crobery in the Cumnock area of East Ayrshire on Wednesday afternoon.
Strathclyde Police confirmed the bodies were found in the Cumnock area on Wednesday afternoon.
Formal identification is still to take place, but it is thought the bodies are that of the mother and her daughter.
A Strathclyde Police spokesman said: "A 26-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the deaths of Diane and Holly."
The man is due to appear today at Ayr Sheriff Court.
Post mortem examinations will be held to establish the exact cause of deaths. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Investigation Launched Into 'Unexplained' Husband And Wife Deaths
An investigation is underway into the deaths of a husband and wife from Long Melford on Thursday. According to reports, the body of a man, said to be a butcher from Suffolk town, was found at the foot of a multi-storey car park in Bury St Edmonds, shortly after midday.

Police in Fife have appealed for information into an ongoing investigation following the discovery of a man's body in Glenrothes. Police discovered the body of Aleksandrs Sokolovs (29) inside a property on Tummel Road on Monday. The death of the Latvian-national is being treated as suspicious.
