Six Arrested In Officer Hit-And-Run Incident
An investigation is underway after a police man was injured during a hit-and-run incident in the West Midlands.
Six people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the 30-year-old was hit by a silver Subaru car in Sandyacre Way, Stourbridge, just after 1.40am on Monday.
The officer, who was investigating reports of a burglary when he was struck, was taken to hospital but has since been released following treatment.
Three men and three women have been arrested, according to a spokesman for West Midlands Police.
Officers had originally responded to a call to investigate suspicious behaviour in Hammond Way before the car was discovered in Sandyacre Way.
Police then tried to block the vehicle and speak to the driver, however the car sped off, hitting the officer who suffered injuries.
