Mobility Scooter Collision Kills Pensioner
A 90-year-old woman who was hit by a mobility scooter while on holiday on the Isle of Wight, has died.
Lillian Macey, of Harlow, Essex, was hit on the pavement as she walked along High Street, Sandown on Tuesday.
She died at Salisbury Hospital, where she was being treated for leg injuries after the incident.
Mrs Macey, who was on the island with a relative, was transferred there from St Mary's Hospital on Wednesday.
A post mortem examination is to be carried out later.
According to local police, the 76-year-old male rider of the scooter was spoken to by officers, however, he has not been arrested.
Acting Inspector Paul Bailey, of Hampshire Police, said: "We need to hear from any witnesses who saw the collision or who saw the blue scooter being driven prior to the collision.
"It is important to reach any witnesses who may have been holidaying on the Isle of Wight and have returned to their homes."

A three-year-old has died after being struck by a car in Suffolk. Rosa Simon was riding on her scooter in Canterbury Gardens when she was hit by the car on Tuesday. The driver of the car has been treated for shock but was not arrested, according to police. Rosa was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on Tuesday night.

Up To Four Suffer 'Life-Changing' Injuries In Troop Carrier Collision
More than 20 people have been injured, 4 or 5 seriously, in a collision involving three troop carriers on Salisbury Plain. Wiltshire Police were called to the accident at about 18:30 on Wednesday. The cause of the accident is being investigated but it is understood that 4 or 5 people have suffered "life-changing injuries".

Teenager rescued from sea dies
A 15-year-old boy rescued from the sea off Norfolk has died. A lifeboat crew rescued the boy who had got into difficulties while swimming with another boy off Wells-Next-the-Sea, Norfolk. He was located by the lifeboat and was airlifted to hospital. But he later died shortly after being admitted to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Missing Schoolgirl Found On Isle of Wight
Hampshire Police have reported that a missing 15-year-old schoolgirl has been found "safe and well". The teenager from Southhampton was last seen on Saturday on the Isle of Wight. She is said to have been in the company of a man. A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction, police have said.
