Appeal 'One Year On' From Shooting

Twelve months after the shooting that led to his death, the family of Stephon Davidson are appealing to anybody who knows anything about the incident to come forward.

Nineteen-year-old Stephon was in a car on Monument Road, in Ladywood, Birmingham on 5 August 2008 when shots were fired from a Toyota Avensis. Stephon was hit, and died in hospital on 2 September 2008.

In a video, posted on the West Midlands Police's PCTV and Youtube websites, Stephon's mother, Maxine, father Vincent, and younger sister Kasheena, talk about the impact Stephon's death has had on their family.

The family has made the appeal in the hope it will encourage those who know something that could assist the investigation to come forward.

Kasheena has also recorded a moving song which she has written in honour of her brother.

Detective Chief Inspector Tim Bacon from the Major Investigation Unit: "Somebody somewhere knows something about this murder, and we need them to come forward and tell us what they know.

"We still need information about a silver Toyota Avensis, registration number FE03 JXW which was involved in the incident. We need to know where this car is now, where it has been parked or driven in the weeks since the incident."
