We believe that everyone has a place to call home and a stake in their community. Our Mission:
To offer homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfil their potential and make positive, informed choices about their future. Our Values:
We celebrate the potential of people. We put our words into action. We aim to take a wider role in civil society. We believe in rights and responsibilities.
Depaul Trust Ireland was established in Dublin in 2002 and currently operates five accommodation projects in the city dealing with street drinkers, rough sleepers, those suffering from substance misuse and women released from Dochas prison. It also offers medical, outreach and Community Befriending services around the city. In 2005 these services extended to Belfast where there now operates an outreach programme to young unemployed people, a family hostel and the first low threshold, harm reduction accommodation for entrenched alcohol users in Northern Ireland. Depaul Trust works on the basis of non judgemental care and support, enabling the organisation to deal directly with those whose issues or addiction may mean other services may no longer be an option. In 2006 Depaul Trust Ireland supported over 500 such individuals.
Depaul Trust is unique and innovative in the homeless sector in the sense that it works with the most vulnerable people who are homeless. Each year we work with over 400 people in Dublin and Belfast, who often have very complex needs. We believe in the potential of everyone to change and move forward, if they are given an opportunity.
our vision: we believe that everyone has a place to call home and a stake in their community. our mission: to offer homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfil their potential and make positive, informed choices abou
