If you sell your house after the 30th June 08, you will need to provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to any prospective buyer.
Certificates can only be produced by accredited energy assessors.
An EPC will be needed for new buildings from the 30th September 08. If you rent out property after 30th December 08, you will need to provide the prospective tenant with an EPC.
