Currently studying to be a teacher – and specialising in music of course, Ciara has been playing at weddings and special occasions since 2006. She has performed at venues ranging from small private parties to Civic Receptions at the City Hall, as well as many wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions across Northern Ireland. From the splendour of Belfast Castle to the intimacy of the Old Inn Crawdfordsburn, the presence of the harp will blend into any location.

Along with her selection of folk and traditional harp music, Ciara has adopted popular pieces into her repertoire. Walking down the aisle to the traditional Wagner’s Wedding March, Pachelbel’s Canon in D, or perhaps the more contemporary Fields of Gold or Ashokan’s Farewell, played elegantly on the harp, will add the finishing touch to your special day.

Many brides have arrived to the romantic and distinctive tone of the harp and many a bottle of champagne has been opened to the sound of an Irish jig or hornpipe during the Drinks Reception. Ciara also plays concert flute and can include an unaccompanied haunting Irish Melody or classical piece during your Wedding Ceremony.

Church Ceremony / Civil Ceremony
Ciara will arrive early at the venue and will create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere as your guests arrive at the church or hotel. She will then play as the bride arrives, during any part of the ceremony as requested, at the signing of the register and as the wedding party and guests leave the church / hotel.

Drinks Reception
When the bride and groom are having those all important wedding photographs taken, Ciara will play a selection of music to welcome and entertain your guests as they arrive at the drinks reception. As well as a selection of traditional and contemporary harp pieces Ciara will also play a selection of songs on the concert flute accompanied by modern backing tracks.

Ciara’s musical journey started when she was only four with her very first piano lesson. If your venue has a piano available Ciara can also tinkle on the ivories as your guest enjoy their drinks.

Playing at the drinks reception will last for approximately 90 minutes.

Ciara charges very competitive rates and with the Wedding Ceremony from only £95* and the Drinks Reception also from £95* you should check her availability as soon as possible. If you wish to book for both the Wedding Ceremony and Drinks Reception then she will offer a special discounted rate of £160*.
