Chartered civil engineer Jim Russell began experimenting with his design of high efficiency hydraulic hammer, driving concrete piles jointed by his patented design of full moment joints in 1983. The concept was to produce a piling rig capable of driving 50-ton piles mounted on a standard 3-axle lorry rather than the 50-ton track machines then available. The prototype 3-ton hammer proved to develop a driving force in excess of 200 tons making it suitable for driving 80-ton SWl piles. We produce our own hammers, pile joints, spiral benders and moulds.

Low overall weight, height and high efficiency has enabled the concept to be developed into a range of piling machined on tracks and rubber tyres.
Efforts to date have been concentrated on development of the piling system, specialising in low headroom, confined sites and individual houses. Now we are in a position to share our expertise, equipment knowledge and patents in licensing arrangements outside Ireland.
