Man Arrested In Connection With L'Derry Drug Seizure

Cannabis worth an estimated £42,000 has been seized and a 59-year-old man arrested in an operation in L'Derry.

The 3kg of herbal cannabis was intercepted in the postal system on Tuesday, 02 April. An investigation of the parcel led officers from the District Support Team (DST) and the Tactical Support Group (TSG) to carry out a search in the Beraghvale area on Thursday, 25 April.

Following the search, a 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number offences including importing a controlled drug and attempted possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.

He has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.

Inspector Pearce said: "The Police Service of Northern Ireland are doing all we can to prevent and detect as much drug-related activity as possible. Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
