Bruton Announces 100 New Jobs

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton today, announced the creation of 100 new jobs in 4 new IDA client companies in the emerging business sector in addition to the establishment of headquarter operations by 2 other new emerging companies. The jobs are to be created by:

•Red 5 Studios, an online games developer, which is to establish its European Headquarters in Cork, with the creation of 30 jobs.

•Aasonn, a global human capital management (HCM) and technology services company which is to establish its European headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 30 new jobs.

•Van Tibolli Beauty Corp, provider of GK Hair products which is to establish its E.U. headquarters in Dublin, creating 25 jobs in customer support and multi lingual marketing roles.

•Qualvu Inc., a key emerging player in the provision of web-based qualitative research, which is to establish its EMEA headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 15 new jobs.

•Infobright, a Toronto based Analytics company which is to locate its EMEA Headquarters along with a Customer Support Centre in Dublin

•Md7, an operations and financial services company which is to establish its European HQ in Dublin.

Making the announcement, Minister Bruton said:"Central to this Government’s plan for jobs and growth is developing and deepening the impact of multinational companies here. We must attract more companies, we must ensure that they locate higher-value activities here, we must ensure that they have a greater impact on the economy. Targeting high-growth emerging companies is a key part of this, as these companies will establish deep roots here from early in their growth, and ultimately have a substantial impact on our economy."

IT Firm Creates 100 New Jobs
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, TD, today announced that Mandiant, a specialist provider of IT security solutions is to establish an engineering and security operations centre in Dublin with the creation of 100 new jobs.

167 New Jobs Announced For Dublin And Cork
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, TD, today, announced the creation of 167 new jobs for Dublin and Cork from 6 companies, from both the US and Europe, currently undergoing high-levels of growth. The investments are supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Offshore Company Axes Jobs
Around 150 jobs in Aberdeen and Dundee have been axed after an offshore services company ceased trading. Oceanteam Power and Umbilical has been forced to close when the firm's holding company withdrew its financial support. Staff are based in Aberdeen, at workshops in Dundee and offshore.

Over 1,300 Jobs Announced In Ireland Last Week
Fine Gael Dublin South Central Deputy, Catherine Byrne, has said the fact that more than 1,300 jobs were announced in the last week is a strong signal that confidence in the Irish economy is growing and that the policies being adopted by Government are the right ones.
