Ryan Farquhar Seriously Ill Following Crash At North West 200

County Tyrone rider Ryan Farquhar is seriously ill in hospital following a crash at the North West 200.

He sustained chest and pelvis injuries during a collision with another rider on Thursday, 12 May. He is in intensive care at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Dan Cooper was treated for shoulder injuries at Coleraine Hospital and has been discharged.

The crash occurred in the Black Hill area and the race was abandoned after the incident.

Police officers investigating a two-vehicle road traffic collision in west Belfast have issued an appeal for witnesses and dash-cam footage On 10 January officers received a report of a collision involving a car and motorcycle at approximately 5.30pm at the junction of Divis Street and Westlink on-slip, in the city-bound lanes.

North West 200 Rider Brought To Hospital Following Practice Crash
A North West 200 rider has been airlifted to hospital following a crash during an opening practice session today, 15 May. The unnamed motorcyclist was involved in an incident with another driver at the University Corner section of the course and sustained some injuries. Practice was delayed for around 45 minutes following the incident.

Murder Investigation Launches After Man Found In West Belfast
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man found in west Belfast. On Wednesday, 06 March, a man was found with serious injuries in the Cupar Street area just before 8pm. The man was treated at the scene by emergency services before being transferred to hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Man Arrested In Connection With Sean Fox Murder Investigation
PSNI detectives investigating the murder of Sean Fox in west Belfast in 2022 have arrested a 40-year-old man. The man was arrested following searches in west Belfast this morning, 1 February. The suspect was arrested under the Terrorism Act, and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite in Musgrave for questioning.
