Murder Investigation Launches After Man Found In West Belfast

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man found in west Belfast.

On Wednesday, 06 March, a man was found with serious injuries in the Cupar Street area just before 8pm. The man was treated at the scene by emergency services before being transferred to hospital.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.

The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation, with officers continuing to examine the scene.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or who may have any other relevant information, to call 101 and quote reference number 1768 of 06/03/24.

Man Arrested In Connection With Sean Fox Murder Investigation
PSNI detectives investigating the murder of Sean Fox in west Belfast in 2022 have arrested a 40-year-old man. The man was arrested following searches in west Belfast this morning, 1 February. The suspect was arrested under the Terrorism Act, and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite in Musgrave for questioning.

Man Found Dead In Banbridge Named
A man found dead in Banbridge, Co Down, has been named as Richard Gerard Scullion. A murder investigation has launched after his body was found at a house in the Millmount court area on Monday, 09 July. A 28-year-old man arrested on Monday remains in police custody after the PSNI were granted an extension.
