Over 750,000 Cigarettes Seized In L'Derry

Over 750,000 cigarettes and 40 kilograms of hand rolling tobacco, worth an estimated £250,000 in lost duty and taxes, have been seized in Co L'Derry.

Officers from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) accompanied by the PSNI, searched a number of domestic premises, outbuildings and vehicles in the south Derry area on Wednesday, 14 September, where the suspected illicit tobacco products were found.

Approximately £37,000 in cash, two cars, one van and two horse boxes were also seized during the operation.

Three men were arrested and ave been released on bail.

Investigations are ongoing.

Woman Arrested Following Craigavon Search Operation
A 33-year-old woman has been arrested by the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) following a search in the Craigavon area on Tuesday 27th February. As a result of the search, a quantity of suspected Class B controlled drugs were seized, alongside cash and mobile devices. The items were taken away for further forensic examination.

Four Men Sentenced Over Co Antrim ATM Thefts
Four men have been sentenced in connection with a series of ATM thefts in the County Antrim area over four years ago. The investigation related to a number of ATM thefts between 27th October 2018 and 6th December 2019, including the theft of two cash machines at a supermarket on Castle Way in Antrim.

PSNI Appeal Following Fatal Collision In L'Derry
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fatal road traffic in L'Derry on Thursday, 18 April. A woman, aged in her 70s, has died in hospital following a two-car collision on the Limavady Road at approximately 4pm. The collision involved a grey Citroen C3 and blue Alfa Romeo.
