Man Charged Over £1.2m Drugs Seizure

A 28-year-old man is to appear in court today, 26 September, after police seized drugs worth £1.2million in Belfast.

A large quantity of cocaine, heroin and herbal cannabis were discovered after police stopped a car on the West Bank Road on Friday, 23 September.

The suspect has been charged with possession of class A and class B drugs, possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply, importing class A and B drugs and possession of criminal property.

Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: "We are delighted to have removed this large amount of dangerous drugs off the streets of Northern Ireland.

"We are committed to making Northern Ireland a hostile environment for those individuals involved in drugs criminality."

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Possession Of Class A Drugs
A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs in west Belfast. Police carried out searches in the Ladybrook area and Ormeau Avenue on Wednesday, 07 June. The 30-year-old suspect was arrested and questioned, however he has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police have seized suspected drugs worth an estimated £75,000 in Crumlin, Co Antrim. A haul of class B drugs, related paraphernalia, a sum of money and suspected cannabis plants were discovered during a search of a property on the Lurgan Road on Tuesday evening, 07 January.
