PSNI Issue Warning After ATM Machine Tampered With In Belfast

Police have issued a warning to the public to be aware when using cash machines after one was found to be tampered with in south Belfast.

The ATM machine, in the Botanic area, appeared to have two small holes drilled into it.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The engineer informs us this disabled the card protection kit and was probably done so a skimming device could be attached later. We remind everyone to be vigilant, check for anything suspicious and always conceal your PIN when entering it at an ATM."
