Bomb Discovered At UUP Councillor's Home |
|
A viable device, found near the home of a Ulster Unionist councillor in Fermanagh, has been made safe.
The bomb was discovered after a telephone warning claimed that a house in the Rosslea area had been attacked.
A device was found by the son of UUP councillor Harold Andrews at the end of their lane, yesterday.
The discovery resulted in a security alert, with roads and surrounding areas closed off by police. Army bomb experts made it safe before removing it for further investigation. The alert is now over.
Ulster Unionist MLA for the area Tom Elliott said the incident was deplorable.
