PM Describes Apparent James Foley Video As 'Shocking And Depraved'

The apparent beheading of a US journalist has been described as "shocking and depraved" by the Prime Minister.

Mr David Cameron made the comment on Twitter following the news of a video that purportedly shows an Islamic State (IS) militant beheading journalist James Foley.

Mr Foley has been missing since he was kidnapped in Syria 2012.

Mr Cameron, who has been on holiday with his family, is understood to be returning to chair a Home Office and Foreign Office meeting on the situation in Iraq/Syria.
