Una Crudden Funeral Held

The funeral of west Belfast ovarian cancer campaigner Una Crudden has taken place today.

Ms Crudden died on Thursday after being diagnosed with the illness in 2009.

A Requiem Mass was held at the Church of the Nativity in Poleglass, west Belfast, on Monday.

The west Belfast woman began campaigning for the promotion and awareness of the condition following her diagnosis. Ms Crudden focused much of her campaign on the fact that a lot of women were found to have been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome when they actually had the terminal condition.

Earlier this year she received support from MLAs, and Stormont changed colour for her 'Teal Takeover' campaign.
