Rape Accused For Court

A man has been charged with raping a woman in the Dungannon area at the weekend while another is to appear in court over a rape in Belfast last month.

The 20-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting the victim during the early hours of Saturday morning and is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court at the end of the month.

Details about the serious sexual assault were only released on Sunday afternoon and a PSNI spokesperson has said that no further information will be released about the incident.

Meanwhile, charges are being brought in one of the several cases of rape that occurred in Northern Ireland last month.

The man has been charged with raping a woman in Belfast in the York Street/Donegal Street area during the early hours of Wednesday April 30.

The 32-year-old accused is due at Belfast Magistrates court on Monday, May 12.

BCC Welcomes Conviction Of Belfast Man For Dog Attack
Belfast City Council (BCC) has welcomed the conviction of a man at Belfast Magistrates Court for an offence involving a dog attack on a woman. BCC brought the prosecution against 43-year-old Stuart Grace, of Forthriver Crescent, Belfast, following a report that Mr Grace’s German Shepherd dog had attacked a woman, injuring her arm and back.
