81-Year-Old Murder Accused Skips Bail

Cumbria Police have appealed for help in tracing 81-year-old John Parry, who is currently on bail while facing a charge of murdering his wife.

Mr Parry was charged with murder after the body of his wife, Meryl Parry (80), was found on 02 September at a house in Ainstable, near Carlisle.

It is understood Mr Parry had initially been remanded in custody, but released on bail in October due to his age.

He is due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday but has not been seen since Monday night.

He is described as white, slim, clean shaven with a pale complexion. He has thinning and receding white hair and blue eyes.

Police have appealed for anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Mr Parry to contact them.
