Armatile are a multi award winning company that have been operating in the tile market since 1975 and we have developed a reputation as one of the leading suppliers of architectural and interior design tiling solutions in Ireland.
The tiles in our collection are an example of cutting edge design and technical innovation and cover the full range of tiling materials from Natural Stones to Swimming Pool tiles & fittings.
We have been involved in the design and manufacture of bespoke tile concepts since 1989 and in 2000 we became the first tile company in Ireland to offer in-house waterjet cutting to our customers. This technology enables us to deliver unique tile concepts for the full range of projects and has been used extensively by architects and designers throughout Ireland and further afield.

Our 3 tile and marble showrooms in Armagh, Belfast and Newry, also contain extensive library facilities which are available for you to use at your convenience. These libraries contain extensive samples from our numerous suppliers as well as detailed technical information on the full range of products from anti-slip ratings to swimming pool specifications.

Our state of the art manufacturing facility in Armagh, houses some of the most advanced tile and marble cutting technologies that the tile industry has to offer.
Our product range varies from a small mosaic border to a completely unique Victorian style floor design.
We manufacture products in the full range of materials including ceramic and porcelain tiles, mosaic tiles, marble, travertine, slate and granite. Our state of the art manufacturing techniques also facilitate the introduction of other products such as wood, glass and steel alongside ceramic tiles.

Armatile is Celebrating 40 years in Business
Armatile is celebrating 40 years as one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of architectural and interior design tiling solutions in Ireland and UK. We recently held a special night to celebrate our ruby anniversary at Armagh City Hotel on 12th September. Among the many guests were staff, colleagues, individuals and organisations that have helped and supported Armatile over many of those years. We also had a special video message from our Brand Ambassador Rory Best. Armatile was established by James and Patricia McCann in 1975, initially selling second hand carpet tiles from a garage in the small village of Loughgall. Since then, it has grown to become one of the leading manufacturers, suppliers & retailers of high quality tile solutions in Ireland & UK. At the celebrations Mr McCann, now aged 74, spoke about the difficulties of starting out in business in 1975. He acknowledged fondly family, colleagues and people who help him along the way, and had a special thank you for the people who have made Armatile the international success it is – the people who worked with him and have dedicated their working lives to making a positive contribution to the company and the local community. Under his guidance, Armatile has grown hugely and is one of the largest importers, retailers, distributors and manufacturers of decorative ceramic and porcelain tiles in the UK and Ireland, employing almost 100 people. It currently operates: • Five wholly owned Retail Outlets • A large Distribution Network servicing around 90 smaller tile retailers in Ireland • A Manufacturing Facility with the latest tile and waterjet cutting technology manufacturing a wide range of complementary mosaics and decoration for tile ranges, Victorian-style flooring and individual, bespoke tile designs for tile manufacturers, distributers, retailers and end users • An In-house Design Team developing innovative decorative tile and mosaic surfaces for a wide collection of interior, commercial and residential clients • An Award-winning Contracts Team delivering tiling solutions to architectural and commercial projects. Rugby star RORY BEST is ARMATILE’S proud new Brand Ambassador
ARMATILE is thrilled to unveil its new star signing, local and international rugby legend RORY BEST, as its Brand Ambassador. After forty years toiling in the front row of the tile industry in Ireland and the UK, the Armatile team is set to really push on with the addition of Ireland’s most-capped hooker. It’s a huge year for Rory, leading up to the World Cup in the Autumn, but the recently-crowned Rugby Personality of the Year has taken time out to champion Armatile and lend his broad shoulders to its drive towards ever greater success. ‘Armatile is a company with real family values, a strong heritage, and which has the desire to consistently deliver the goods, each and every time. These are the sorts of qualities I can relate to, and which I try to deliver every time I pull on the white or the green jersey,’ said Rory, the inspirational team captain. Integrity, reliability, and always giving one hundred percent, have been the hallmarks of Rory’s storied career, and these are the qualities which make him a natural fit in Team Armatile. The family-owned County Armagh business takes to the field every day proud to serve its customers, staff, families and community both locally and beyond. Chris McCann, Armatile Director, hailed the new star signing of Rory Best. He said it was an exciting time for Armatile; ‘We admire and recognise Rory Best for his brilliance and his teamwork on the field, but also for his integrity and strong values as a person. He epitomises the same characteristics that have allowed Armatile to thrive for forty years in a business that, at times, can be just as challenging and tough as anything that happens on a rugby pitch!’ Founded in Armagh in 1975, Armatile Ltd is at the forefront of tile retail, distribution, contracting and design in the UK and Ireland. The company takes pride in throwing itself at the projects others shy away from. ‘We don’t believe in making excuses, we believe in rolling our sleeves up and getting stuck in, innovating and finding the solutions that will work for our customers. So Rory will fit right in!’ said Mr McCann. ‘We look forward to many years of continued success ahead for Rory and for Armatile.’
