Police Hunt Following Teen Murder

Police are appealing for information following a murder in Southwark.

Teenager Lyle Tulloch, from Peckham was stabbed at Newall House in Harper Road on Saturday.

Lyle, 15, was confirmed dead at the scene despite efforts from emergency services.

A post mortem gave the cause of death as stab wounds and haemorrhaging.

Detective Chief Inspector Mick Duthie of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command said in a statement: "Another youth has lost his life through knife crime, and we urge anyone with information to come forward as a matter of urgency."

Lyle's parents Yvonne and Tony Tulloch issued a statement saying that Lyle was "a kind and caring person" who was working on a video to put across the 'anti-violence' message.

"We are struggling to come to terms with this mindless violent act and the fact that our son has been taken away from us over something like this. His life was worth so much more," they said.

Four youths aged 15, 16 and 17 were arrested in the vicinity and were taken to a south London police station. Three of the teenagers have been bailed to return on dates pending further enquiries and the fifteen-year-old was released without further action.

A 17-year-old male was arrested at an address in south London on Monday and is now in custody at a south London police station.

Anyone with information is asked to call 020 8721 4155.
