Woman Injured In Armed Robbery

Armed thieves made off with a sum of cash following a robbery in west Belfast last night.

Three men approached staff while they were locking up a bookmakers sometime before 9.50pm.

The males forced the staff inside and proceeded to take an undisclosed sum of cash.

Police said the men had firearms in their possession.

One of the staff sustained an injury to her wrist during the robbery.

The males made off across the Whiterock Road.

Detectives in the city have appealed for information.

The three males are described as being approximately 5ft 8in tall, of slim build and were wearing dark jackets, dark bottoms and balaclavas.

Anyone who was in the area and noticed the three males prior to or following the incident have been asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.

Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.

Appeal For Information On 'Nasty' Robbery In Omagh
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a "nasty" robbery in Omagh. Police received a report, that at around 1.30am on Monday, 19th February a man aged in his in his 40s was cycling in the Cranny Road area of the town, alongside the river, when he was set upon by a group of six people, dressed in dark clothing with hoods up.

Appeal For Information On North Belfast Off License Robbery
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an armed robbery at an off license in the Oldpark Road area of north Belfast yesterday evening, Monday 22nd January. At approximately 8.35pm police received a report that a man, armed with a knife, had entered the premises and threatened staff.
