Kia Fleet Deal With Repair Firm

Kia Motors (UK) Ltd in conjunction with its Business Specialist Dealer, Brindley Kia of Wolverhampton, has secured a deal to supply 92 cars over three years to Avery Berkel, a market-leading supplier of retail weighing solutions

The fleet of cee’d EcoDynamics SWs will prove ideal for Avery Berkel’s nationwide network of service engineers as they carry out scale maintenance and repair at retail stores across the UK.

The cars are fitted with ISG (Intelligent Stop and Go) technology, automatically shutting the engine down when the car is at a standstill and in neutral. The ISG system not only reduces fuel consumption, but also increases fuel economy as well as reducing emissions by five per cent.

Following the implementation of its Service Optimisation Project, Avery Berkel re-evaluated its vehicle fleet to help improve its customer response times and environmental credentials.

The investment in the new Kia car fleet is considered key to ensuring that Avery Berkel delivers the service excellence its customers require.

Dan McToal, Service Director at Avery Berkel, said: "For our retail customers, equipment downtime has a negative impact on store profitability. Ensuring that our technicians are equipped with the latest technology is therefore vital to our service delivery and investing in the new Kia car fleet is a key part of this process – helping us provide our customers with the assurance that we will arrive on schedule."

Debbie Weaver, Fleet Administrator at Avery Berkel, added: "We were really impressed with the attributes of the Kia cee’d SW and it ticked all of the boxes. The real clincher was the peace of mind offered by Kia’s 7-year warranty."

Andy Dunsdon, Regional Business Sales Manager for Kia welcomed the fleet deal.

"We are delighted to have been selected as a supplier to such a well-established company. With the quality of the car, we were able to clearly demonstrate to Avery Berkel how the cee’d EcoDynamics SW would achieve all of its business needs."
