UK Dealers Top Peugeot Awards
Three British dealers have been recognised in Peugeot’s second European quality awards.
Fussell Wadman of Devizes, Simon Bailes of Northallerton and Dale Garage, Hexham were among 15 Dealers out of the 1,200 strong European Peugeot network to receive awards for exceptional service standards in both new vehicles sales and after-sales.
In presenting the 2010 awards, Jean-Marc Gales, Director General, Automobiles Peugeot, underlined the Marque's commitment to the highest standards in customer care during its bicentennial year.
Jon Goodman, MD of Peugeot Motor Company in the UK, said: "I’d like to add my congratulations and thanks to the three British Dealers who have represented Peugeot so well.
"In addition to recognising outstanding performances, these awards are an excellent opportunity to provide a clear view of our goals as a global vehicle manufacturer to our entire Dealer network which is, after all, the primary contact for Peugeot customers."
This year, dealers heard how Peugeot aims to become one of the top three performers for service quality, and how this will contribute to the Marque’s wider aims of moving up three places in the world vehicle manufacturer rankings, establishing itself as a benchmark for style and cementing its position as the world leader in mobility services.

Peugeot Sales Increase By 21.6%
April has seen another strong performance from Peugeot in the run up to it 200th anniversary in May. As the UK market reported an 11.5% increase in April, Peugeot benefited from strong sales of its HDi diesel models, up 53.4%, to record an overall sales increase of 21.6%.

Peugeot is running a unique event at Durham University (Queens Campus) to showcase its prowess in eco-efficient technology, design and expertise in electric and hybrid vehicles. Peugeot is hosting the event tomorrow to showcase its range of current and future ultra low carbon vehicles.

Next week’s CV Operators’ show at the NEC, starting 13 April, will feature a Peugeot stand loaded with innovative vehicles, including a Roadload U-tail Boxer van concept, an all electric Expert van, the latest Partner Crew van, plus the launch of Peugeot’s Conversion Programme for the Boxer Van.

Peugeot’s strong start to 2010 continues with sales up 22.3% in March and 31.5% year-to-date, in a market up 27.3%. Peugeot’s fuel efficient and environmentally friendly range of vehicles has been a hit with the UK consumers in March.
