Calor benefit from CARA Group’s IT expertise

Irish IT solutions company CARA Group has created a centrally-managed technology hub in the Dublin headquarters of Calor Gas which will enable Calor to communicate with users across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The distributed branch network – or ‘thin client network’ - is centrally managed from Calor’s Dublin office in Longmile Road, and runs all Calor’s business applications, which allows users in the company’s seven sites located throughout the country total access to all applications.

Sean O’Donohue, IT Manager at Calor Gas, commented: “Calor Gas chose CARA Group because of its strong reputation in implementing extensive centrally-managed networks. Not only will this implementation deliver a long hardware lifecycle for Calor Gas, it’s also a major building block for more complex future projects, including mobile computing.”

CARA Group’s professional services team is currently starting a thin client solution project, on average, every two weeks and was recently named as the top Citrix reseller in Ireland, with sales of over euro 500,000. (CL)
