Elderly woman robbed at home
A 72 year-old woman has been left badly shaken after a robbery at her home in Warrenpoint, County Down.
She was confronted by a man after answering the front door in Drumlin Walk on Wednesday January 9.
He manhandled her into the house and stole money from her purse. The woman was then forced to accompany the robber around the house as he searched each room.
Meanwhile a man is being treated in hospital after he was assaulted and thrown from a first floor window onto the street below.
The incident happened around12.30am on Thursday January 10 at Hartington Court in South Belfast. Two police officers were also injured in a follow up arrest. (AMcE)

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Man arrested after woman dies in collision
A 61-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in County Down. A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was hit by a vehicle on the Comber Road in Newtownards at about 9.45pm last night. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

Police have launched an investigation following a fatal crash in Co Antrim. The collision, between a bus and a car, happened in Randalstown at around 2.45pm on Sunday, 11 February. A 58-year-old woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in the incident. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

A woman has died in a one-vehicle crash in Co Fermanagh. The collision happened on the Newbridge Road in Derrylin just after midnight on Saturday. Another woman and a man were taken to hospital to be treated. Their injuries are believed to be serious. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
