FT launches Mastering People Management series

The eight-part ‘Mastering People Management’ series from the Financial Times has drawn on the combined expertise of the world’s leading business schools, providing an invaluable guide to the concepts and practices of managing people in business.

The series, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, has already covered a range of topics, from designing reward systems and finding the most talented employees, to handling grievances and employment law issues. ‘Mastering People Management’ will eventually conclude with a look at the culture and legislation which will affect the HR manger of the future.

James Pickford, editor of the FT Mastering series, said: “’Mastering People Management’ is essential reading, not only for human resources managers but for anyone with responsibility for managing others.

“In order to find competitive advantages, managers need to ensure that their company’s processes and structures allow employees to realise their full potential. The series provides managers with an invaluable guide to ensuring that their employees are satisfied in their work and that they believe executive rhetoric is reflected in reality.”

The final supplement of ’Mastering People Management’ will be published in the Financial Times on Monday December 3. (MB)
