Man Injured In Poleglass Shooting

A 35-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being shot in the neck in an attack at a house in Poleglass.

The incident happened at the victim's home in Glenbawn Link around 8:40pm on Monday.

He is being treated in the Royal Victoria Hospital, where his condition is described as serious, but stable.

A 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack and is being questioned at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

Lagan Valley Alliance MLA Trevor Lunn said he was "appalled" by the attack. He said: "My thoughts are with the man who was shot and I hope he makes a full and swift recovery.

"The callous disregard shown by those involved is despicable. Those behind this attack must be brought to justice and I appeal to anyone with information on this to contact police immediately."

Man Shot In Co L'Derry
A man has been shot in the ankle in Co L'Derry. The paramilitary-style attack happened near the Creggan shops at around 7.45pm on Thursday, 07 December. The 41-year-old man has been taken to hospital to be treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police described the shooting as "brutal and horrific".

Man Shot In Both Legs In L'Derry
A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man treated in hospital following shooting
A man has been treated in hospital following a paramilitary-style attack in Co Antrim this morning. The 20-year-old victim was walking along the Dough Road, Ballyclare at around 12.10am when he was approached by three masked men.
