Missing Woman Believed To Be In NI

Police in England are appealing for help from Northern Ireland as concerns grow for a missing pregnant woman who is believed to have travelled into the country.

Erica Tomlinson, 34,travelled to Pembroke Docks on December 30 with her five-year-old son Tyree in a Vauxhall Agila and according to police they believe she may now be in Northern Ireland.

The mother and son caught the 2.45pm ferry to Rosslare in County Wexford. They travelled on tickets named for Kathryn James and Christopher Wilson. It is believed since then they have crossed the border into Northern Ireland.

Ms Tomilnson is described as being 5ft 4in, white, of medium build, with blonde hair and brown eyes. Tyree is of mixed heritage, with short curly hair and brown eyes.

It is understood that the woman may also be calling herself Michelle Baines. Police are keen to talk to her and have asked anyone with information to contact them.

Man arrested after woman dies in collision
A 61-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in County Down. A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was hit by a vehicle on the Comber Road in Newtownards at about 9.45pm last night. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

PSNI Appeal After Assault At Lagan Valley Hospital
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information over an incident at Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn in February. Police believed the attack involved up to five people on the morning of Tuesday, 27 February. Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the hospital's A&E department and observed anything on the morning in question.

Man shot in west Belfast
A man has been wounded in a gun attack at a house in west Belfast. A police spokesperson said that a caller to the house in Hawthorn Street had produced a gun and shot the man in the side. An ambulance was called to the scene, however the man was not taken to hospital. His injuries have been described as minor.
