EASYJET TO BRING FORWARD EDINBURGH SERVICE

EASYJET has announced it is to bring forward the launch of its new services between Belfast International Airport and Scotland.

Easyjet’s Glasgow service will now begin its one flight a day service on 18 August instead of beginning on 3 September. Flight frequency will also increase to four flights a day on 30 August, the same day their Edinburgh service begins.

The new route will put Easyjet in direct competion with fellow budget airlines Go and British Regional, both of which already operate flights from Belfast to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This latest move by Easyjet was made after the company received delivery of its new 149-seater Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

The news was announced as Easyjet’s Belfast to Amsterdam service made its inaugural flight, a day earlier than expected. This new morning flight aims to complement their early evening flight service to Amsterdam which was launched in January. (MB)
